A Teacher (2013) Sundance Review

Last week, my review of Sundance feature A Teacher was published by Medium Rare TV, an online publication based in the Bay Area. Medium Rare has worked extensively to promote film, television, and video game content crafted and generated by women and people of color in the film industry. I have taken deep pleasure in a long-standing relationship with them, including employment, internship, and festival coverage.

The film is the quasi-debut of Hannah Fidell, an Austin-based multihyphenate who served on this project as writer and director. A Teacher stars Lindsay Burdge, Will Britain, Jennifer Prediger, and Jonny Mars, and was recently picked up by Oscilloscope Laboratories. Fidell’s feature was one of the more stylish and invigorating entries I saw at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Enjoy.
